[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Sometimes an old plant standing alone in a pot doesn't reflect their beauty. In those cases we can give it a twist just by changing the pot or creating a little garden. I had two Yaupon Holly plants growing to be "shohin bonsai" in the future, but I decided to create a better environment for them. This is how I made it, I hope you like the change. If you do, please share your comments. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] 1) My little Yaupon Hollies and an old pot [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="2418"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image image="2420"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] 2) I painted the pot and added a small one inside to save some soil. Then I prepared good soil, filled the pot and planted the hollies.   A long time ago, I was a professional in human resources, working long hours, taking care of my house and my husband. At that time, gardening was one way to relieve stress and my trips to the garden center became more frequent.  Soon I had a garden that was consuming all my free time and I started to feel concerned about it. At that time I thought, “I want to enjoy my flowers without the hard work.  What should I do?”   Flash forward a few years and I had a baby and became a stay home mom but my passion for flowers kept me practicing in my backyard.  It was that activity that made me realize that taking care of a garden is easier that we think; we just have to use the right products to reduce the amount of time we spend to keep a beautiful and healthy living flower arrangement.   On our Basic Rules page, here  /www.mylittlegardenllc.com/blog/basicrules/, we have talked about the basic principles to help you create a beautiful living arrangement and reduce the amount of work but there is another key to achieving that goal: Use a few big flower containers in your front yard and keep the rest of your garden full with trees and bushes.  Once the trees and bushes are established, they don’t require lot of water or maintenance so you can focus on those beautiful flower containers and that’s it. If you live in an apartment, just use one or two boxes on your balcony railing.   Here are some examples of my work.  I think you’ll understand what I’m saying.  /www.mylittlegardenllc.com/mywork/ Believe me, using one or two big flower containers in your front yard and following “The Basic Rules” will yield a yard that will give the “impression” of hard work but  soon you will end up having more free time to enjoy your family and you’ll feel proud of your work.
